Product Description

Managing Your Supply Chain addresses the need for an overall understanding about using Microsoft Dynamics AX to manage manufacturing and distribution businesses. The targeted reader includes those individuals implementing or considering Dynamics AX as their ERP system as well as those providing sales and implementation services. Firms involved with a system selection process may be considering Dynamics AX as a candidate package, and this book can help reduce selection risks, evaluate system fit and needed customizations, and provide a vision of an integrated system. The book can help businesses involved in implementing and using Dynamics AX by accelerating the learning process, reducing implementation time and costs, and reducing user resistance to change. It suggests changes that can improve system usage and revitalize a wayward implementation. For firms providing sales and services related to Dynamics AX, this book can accelerate the employee learning process for providing knowledgeable customer service in sales, support, and professional assistance.

A jumpstart to understanding AX 20095
Once again a great book on AX by Dr. Hamilton. Written in straight forward business language, it provides a good explanation of the fundamental design of AX 2009. The insights provided on the intricate workings of AX 2009 will be a handy reference for any implementation team in their design considerations. The book is meant for a functional audience and not a developer (technical) audience. A must read for any organization or team implementing Microsoft's latest offering.

Dynamics AX Professional - This is an MBA level of knowledge about AX packed into a book of this size5
Let me say that this book by Scott, his latest in this series, is by far the best book out there that attempts to cover so much needed knolwedge.

The knolwedge level gained is for sure an MBA level, and the structure used to deliver this knolwedge fits right into the structure Microsoft delivered for the information worker with Dynamics AX 2009.

I recommend this book to any Dynamics AX pro or customer that is looking to really get as much benefit out of Dynamics AX as possible.

I am looking forward to Scott's next release, which will include Lean Manufacturing. (Lean Manufacturing was just pre-released to the Partner community)

The best AX supply chain reference available5
This book is a must-have for any AX supply chain consultant. As AX continues to expand in both breadth and depth, this book provides a valuable single-source reference for both functionality and supporting business processes. It's well written by Dr. Hamilton in the same style that made the 2 previous versions of this book excellent references - supporting diagrams and use cases are helpful and easy to understand. It's easily the best AX supply chain reference book on the market today.
