About the Author
Willliam Kelly and Anne Vipond are a husband-and-wife team who began cruising British Columbia's coastal waters in the early 1980s. Their boating travels have extended beyond the Inside Passage to Prince William Sound and Kodiak Island. They moor their Spencer 35 on the Fraser River, south of Vancouver, and embark each summer on upcoast cruises with their two young boys.

Kelly and Vipond have written extensively for Pacific Yachting magazine. Bill's cruising articles first appeared on its pages in the early 1980s, and Anne's Gunkholes column premiered in 1992, running for 13 years. Anne has also written for various yachting magazines around the world and for newspapers across Canada. They also publish a series of guidebooks for cruise ship travellers, most notably the bestselling Alaska By Cruise Ship, and they have written several travel books for Thomas Cook Publishing of the United Kingdom.

Customer Reviews

Superb Anchorage Selections5
This cruising guide has been one of many aboard our trawler during the past 2 summer's cruises through British Columbia. The superb choices made by the authors for inclusion as "the best" have made it one of our favorite and most frequently referenced guides. The photos are both numerous and compelling and the text very supportive. We've yet to be disappointed on any anchorage recommended in this book! I just wish this couple would publish additional cruising guides.

Welcome addition onboard5
This is a very welcome addition to our onboard cruising library. The book covers many anchorages not discussed in other guides. Very well written and nice photo accompanyment.

Best Anchorages of the Inside Passage5
Probably one of the best guides for anchorges on the lower BC coast.
