You get to do all sorts of side missions, and as you go along, you get more and more weapons to use. Graphics and storyline are great! For this game, the Wii Remote is actually used in very creative and intuitive ways to help you wield your weapons.

Buy new: $45.49 / Used from: $30.00 Another favorite. I've been waiting for a Mario game this awesome ever since Mario 64. If you like Mario, you will love this game. Plus the entire game design is just so cool and colorful. It is about average in terms of how long it takes to "win," but you can play much longer if you want to get every single last star. And it isn't linear, so you can always skip levels that you don't like.

Buy new: $74.29 / Used from: $5.72 I love this game! Of course, I love it any time when a girl is the main character! Tomb Raider provides all sorts of different game play. You get to climb things, solve puzzles, shoot people, and collect things. The biggest downside is that it is just so easy to beat.

Buy new: $19.99 / Used from: $12.98 Underworld picks up where Legend left off and is just as fun. Notable features include having to defend yourself against tigers and panthers, and riding a motorcycle as part of several of the levels.

Buy new: $99.79 / Used from: $49.00 I love this game! You can play guitar, bass, drums, and sing. And up to four people can play so it's like you really have a band. And I can give myself delusions about actually being able to play guitar.

 | Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock Wireless Bundle - Xbox 360
Buy new: $82.99 / Used from: $40.43 I don't like this game half as much as Rock Band, but the guitar itself is much better and can be used to play Rock Band (the reverse is not the case). Sadly there is no drum part or singing.

 | Perfect Dark Zero
Buy new: $24.98 / Used from: $3.49 This is an excellent game for people who aren't really accustomed to shooting games, but want to start playing them. It is much easier than Halo 3, for example. (If you want your girlfriend to play Halo, maybe tempt her first with this...) You can play it on more than one level, the highest of which should be fun for even the most experienced gamer.

Buy new: $35.99 / Used from: $18.36 Playing campaign improved my (already high) opinion of this game. I became unbelievably better and obsessed. (If you want your girlfriend to play Halo, get her to play campaign.) You can even play campaign in co-op, though you may end up either doing all the work or spending all your time waiting to respawn. And of course, Halo has the best online game play of just about any game.

Buy new: $94.78 / Used from: $5.91 I really like Star Wars Battlefront. It is basically a game full of team slayer. You go to different planets, which you and your army must conquer. You can play for the good guys or the dark side. You can play all sorts of characters, including Jedi with light sabers. The shooting is also a lot less difficult than Halo. This is one of the best games there is for playing multiplayer offline.

 | Spyro A Hero's Tale
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $4.46 My favorite Spyro game. You collect eggs and light gems, and destroy dark gems in different worlds while fighting enemies and completing challenges. At the end of each stage, you fight a boss (usually not too hard) and gain a new type of breath. Breaths include fire, electricity, water, and ice. Unfortunately, the newer Spyro games are not the same; they are more combat oriented.

 | Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly
Buy new: $19.99 / Used from: $2.50 This one is basically like A Hero's Tale, but you are collecting dragonflies instead of gems and eggs. It is pretty great too, although I prefer A Hero's Tale. You can play both of them on Wii with a Gamecube controller.

 | Super Mario 64 DS
Buy new: $27.49 / Used from: $13.00 You start out in the Princess's Castle, and you must get stars to fight Bowser multiple times until you rescue the Princess. You jump into paintings and get stars by completing missions in different worlds. This is classic Nintendo. I recommend it in all its forms, including DS, 64, and purchasing it online for Wii, which you can then play with a Gamecube Controller.

 | Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel
Buy new: $44.99 / Used from: $39.96 Basically a revamp of Mario Kart Double Dash, with a few new maps. I like the Wii Wheel okay, but really I would prefer playing with a regular controller. It is a little difficult to get the hang of. I was hoping for more new material, but it is totally worth having, and I love Mario Kart. A great game for offline multiplayer, and it even has an online feature.
