Editorial Reviews

From the Manufacturer
The ExerSaucer Mega Farm stationary activity center provides baby with a farm-themed learn and play experience! A variety of toys help baby achieve 10 important developmental milestones such as gross and fine motor skills, self-awareness, tactile development, and more. As ¿a safer alternative¿ to walkers, the ExerSaucer provides baby with the benefits of stationary exercise with rock, spin and bounce capabilities. A multi-position seat lock and three base stabilizer feet provide additional stability for the younger baby. A removable, machine washable seat pad in a cute farm print provides for easy cleaning. Three height adjustments accommodate the growing baby, while folding legs and a convenient carry handle make the ExerSaucer a must for portable entertainment.

Good times had by all5
My husband put this together, so I can't comment too much on the level of difficulty involved -- what I do know is that it didn't take too long (good) and that it's almost impossible to get the toys out once they've been snapped in (not so good, since we forgot to put batteries in one of them before placing it). That last problem may just be user error, though, as we haven't bothered going back to the directions to see if there is a trick to removing the toys. Our son, 8 months old, really seems to enjoy playing with the toys and bouncing up and down. He even crawls over to the ExerSaucer when he's on the floor near it, which I think is a good indication that he likes it. Last but not least, this version of the ExerSaucer is marginally less garish than others I've seen, which earns it extra points in my book.

Awesome ExerSaucer5
I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education; and this product is very developmentally appropriate. My son (6 months) loves the toys. The placement of the toys is wonderful. They are not too close, but he is able to actually reach them and pull them to him. The barn plays music (several different songs), and there is even a small mirror. The toys are very cute and colorful. The seat is very easy for him to turn (there is a seat lock also if you do not want your child to turn). I like how the snack tray is raise and has a place for Cheerios. The assembly was not hard at all and did not take very long. (you just have to be able to read and follow instructions) In my opinion, it is great at developing gross and fine motor skills.

One of our best baby purchases4
This has been one of our best baby purchases so far (the best has been our Bob stroller). We started using it when our son was 4 mo, 2 months later and after almost daily use, he still loves it. Only one toy lights up and has music (very funky versions of old MacDonald had a farm, itsy bitsy spider, and one other). Only 4 stars because as one other reviewer mentioned, the paint can come off of some toys. It did not spontaneously flake off... my son has 2 bottom teeth already and he chews on anything he can get his mouth on. Those little teeth take the paint right off. It's made in China, so now when I see him really chewing on the painted toys I distract him and give him something safer to chew on.
