Now that the newer version has all metal gears, this is the way to go.

Goes very well with your burr-grinder, and makes a mean cup of coffee.

If you use/need a food processor, this is the way to go. Not for the feint of heart, (it's not a lightweight) be very aware of what will fit in your kitchen and the size that you actually need.

This makes waffles too easy. It doesn't get any better than this; perfect waffles every time, and looks really cool on the kitchen counter.

If handmade pasta is your thing, that is.

Makes perfect rice every time. Has given me no trouble after 5+ years.

Probably my favorite cookware. Heavy, heats evenly, and is easy to clean, (except for the grill pan...I'm still trying to figure out how to clean it!) I have no doubt that these will outlast me. For the more budget constrained, Lodge Logic makes excellent cast-iron cookware, as well.

This is as close to non-stick as I will come. A tough call between Calphalon/Le Creuset/All-Clad. For me, the Calphalon has the most comfortable handles that stay cool. The Le Creuset gives the best results, but the handles aren't terribly comfortable and get too hot to touch. The All-Clad Copper Core is one of the best out there, but my hands are too large to fit comfortably on the handles.

These are great, stay put on the counter, and just toss them into the dishwasher when you're done, get several sizes.

Rock solid, one piece, easy to clean. If you have non-stick, this is not the way to go.

Heavy-duty, will last a lifetime.

These, and/or the metal ones are the best for liquid measurements. I prefer the clear plastic as they're easier to see, but the metal fill in when I'm using hot liquids.

What's to say about an ice cream scoop except that this is the easiest one I've used to date.

These are great, work for everything, and easy to clean. Their spoons, and turners are great for every day use, and are easy on the pans, too.

Great little whisks, they have several sizes, as well as ones with plastic ends, so no worries on non-stick.

Expensive little bugger, but drip free and looks great on the table. I've got one for honey and one for syrup.

This is rock-solid and easy to use. Cloves everywhere fear this press.

This is the last cookie sheet I will ever need to buy. All Clad's Oval bakers, ramekins, pie plates, round/square bakers, etc are all built to a crazy standard. Buy the best and only cry once as the saying goes.
