I think this is a brilliant book, certainly worthy of all the hype it has received. I admire the fact that the author doesn't shirk away from criticizing religion. Everyone should read this book.

This was the very first Dawkin's book I ever read, it is a lengthy tome. If you truly want to gain an appreciation for just how long to took life to evolve to this point you must read this book.

A fun read, the author really does take you on a journey. If you have any interest in paleontology, this is a splendid book. I particularly enjoyed the chapters on the Tiktaalik (the creature featured on the cover).

Each chapter pries one gene out of its chromosome and focuses on its role in our development and adult life, but also goes further, exploring the implications of genetic research and our quickly changing social attitudes toward this information.

A great book that deals with the importance of educating the public about science. Covers all the major fields from evolutionary biology to astronomy. Natalie Angier is very witty and a pleasure to read.
