Texas? Toast. San Antonio overrun by the living dead.
This book was very well written. I am an avid reader of the Zombie genre
and Joe McKinney is great. I await his next book. If you are a fan of the Zombie Genre do not hesitate to pick up Dead City you will not be disappointed. The story revolves around San Antonio Texas and a good police officer Eddie Hudson. There have been five hurricanes in three weeks. Needless to say it is a perfect breeding ground for the outbreak of the necrosis virus, Texas? Toast. This story is full of Zombies, blood and gore. Eddie witnesses his town fall apart while trying to get to his wife and young son, helping people and fighting the hordes. A long the way he meets Dr. William Stiles, who is ethically opposed to the wholesale massacre of the ill; but is there time for ethical considerations when zombies are crashing through the doors and trying to take a bite out of you? Never a dull moment and again excellent writing. I give it 5 stars. There is also a novella on Mr McKinney's site {www.joemckinney.net}The novella revisits San Antonio eight months after the events in Dead City named {People for the Ethical Treatment of Zombies.}
Incredibly Entertaining and Fast Paced
This one was very good. It started right off, kept the pace quick and never let up. I def. recommend this one - of the recent zombie novels, this one stands out. I loved the ending, too - it got to me and I even teared up a bit.
A bargain compared to other books I spent good scatch on and was bored to tears by....
