A kid, a cop, and a girl with terrible powers ...
It starts with the death of two little girls, and for the quiet suburb of Fairview, Virginia, the weekend is only just beginning. It's the winter solstice. The Damworths, a traveling gang of young killers, are in town, and they're here to party. But even their leader is unprepared for his youngest recruit to do the one thing that Damworths never do: fall in love. In TEETH, a new author brings three unlikely characters together to awaken an evil as old as Cain--and to escort you through a night so long, you may never think to see the day again.

Review
A fast, relentless pace ... A terrific read for those looking for thrills, romance, and some bite. -- Kirkus Discoveries, August 22, 2007
From the Author
TEETH is, first and foremost, a vampire story. It's also, however, a love story and a police thriller. I wanted to do a story about origins, something without need of prequels, so in this book you'll find beginnings: most notably, the origin of a new vampire and the emergence of his hunter.
The setting is the suburbs: a high school, an arcade, an upper-class home, a juvenile detention center, and the forest throughout. These ordinary places set the stage for a confrontation between mortality and immortality, good and evil, death and damnation.
Let the Damworths, America's youngest vampire family, guide you through Fairview's most nightmarish weekend--and, in the end, the longest night its police force will ever know.

Full Disclosure: This Is A Word From the Author
Thanks for clicking on my book. A more clever person might try to disguise this as someone else's review (as some authors do), but I'm not afraid to say how proud I am of my first published book, TEETH. If you're looking for a no-nonsense, straightforward, drowned-in-blood vampire horror story, you have arrived (if I do say so my darn self).
TEETH is the story of a kid who lives on the fringe of society. Friendless, alienated by his family, Nicholas has nowhere to go and no one to turn to--until he meets Alexis, the youngest member of a travelling band of vampires. When they fall in love, Nicholas finds himself in the crosshairs of the eldest vampire brother, Casper--and the prime suspect in a string of brutal killings Casper and his family have committed. The only cop who will listen to him, Frank Gillis, is likewise alone in the world, disgraced by a deadly mistake he made in his early days on the force ...
TEETH is a horror story, a fantasy, a love story, and a police thriller. I'm currently at work on its sequel, GAUNTLET OF BLOOD. To any and all who accompany me on this journey, welcome aboard--and thanks!
Maybe the coolest vampire book ever ...
I just finished Teeth, and I'm still gasping for breath. This was a scary, exciting, action packed horror story. Can't wait for the sequel!
Damanda doesn't waste words. Everything in this book advances understanding of the characters or the story itself.
The most incredible part was probably the midnight attack on the detention center--you'd just have to read it to believe it.
An instant classic!
Lights off reading
Teeth is one of the scariest books I have ever read. The horror and romance were both done well. Best of all was the transformation and development of each character. The internal conflict of the main character was well written and on some level you could empathize with them all.
