Extensive Reserve Power
I bought the MyPower All Plus MP3450 as well as the MyPower All Plus Extended battery MP3450-10 which comes with a plastic holder to clip both batteries together and daisy-chain them. I chose this battery setup over other offerings because I felt it to be the most versatile and to have the longest sustained power for long trips. Its the most versatile because it starts out by powering 5 volt USB powered devices and is selectable up to the most power hungry 19-volt laptops. It also offers an optional female car charger adapter which allows one to power dvd players and a wide range of other devices that can be run off a car cigarette lighter socket. I used this battery setup recently with the Sony PSP using the USB charge port on the battery on a 12-hour flight to China and at the end of the flight the battery indicator still showed 3/4 full. I also used it on a 6-hour cross-country flight with an Asus Eee PC laptop and again it ended the flight 3/4 full. While admittedly the Eee PC draws only 12 volts and actual runtime may have only been 4 hours, I find this quite good and would expect it to power my Eee PC for the full 12 hours on my next trip to China. The MyPower Plus comes with a large number of tips so finding the right tip for a device shouldn't be a problem. You just have to find which tip fits the best on your device and then look at your a/c charger and see what the output voltage is and set the mypower to the same output voltage. My son tried it out on his expensive Sony top-of-the-line Vaio laptop and was so pleased he asked me if he could use it on his upcoming business trip to Australia. With a price tag of well over $250 for the two batteries plus options I am of course very pleased to see others put it to good use.
GREAT!
the Tekkeon rechargeable battery was fully charged right out of the box. I plugged in my ipod touch 1G, ipod nano 4G....they worked great.
Next, I had trouble trying to figure out what volt rating was best for my new hp mini netbook SO I had to remove my battery and look at the volt reading inside the battery compartment and found out that it is 19v, So I set the rechargeable battery to 19v and it worked perfectly. I also plugged my ipod in at the same time and they both worked simultaneously.
After that I tried my 9v DVD player w/ipod connector and it worked perfectly with that.....it was 4 for 4.
The only minor problem is that the stem on the adaptor is not quite as long as the original one, meaning you have to make sure when you move the computer the adaptor does not fall out of the power connector.
By the way, I also like the fact that this charger does allow you to keep tabs on how much charge is left in the battery all you have to do is press a button and lights light up giving you an indication of how much charge is left.
UPDATE!!!! Just bought a new ipod touch 3G AND the charger DOES NOT intially charge the 3G touch. I had to plug the charger into the wall outlet THEN plug my ipod into the charger for it to initiate the charging. It works PERFECTLY once you get the ipod 3G to start the charge. (Another way I initiated the charge was to plug in another ipod that actually works with the charger for about 20 seconds, unplug it, then plug my 3g into the charger and it started the charging on its own)
Excellent
Excellent item, you will find many uses for it.
Laptop, camera , IPhone , ets ..... in only one device.
the good thing also, it has universal charger ( 110 V to 240 V ).
