Its a winner!
I purchased the MP3750 with the MP3450-10 extension battery. The extension battery comes with a front and rear bracket that electronically and physically connects the two batteries. The final result looks sleek and is not bulky or too heavy in my opinion.
I was able to place the battery module in the back compartment of my roller computer bag standing on end so ... on a recent business trip I never removed it from the bag. All of my computer case compartments zip at the top to make getting thru security at the airport easier when the computer needs to be extracted for inspection. With the Tekkeon standing on end all of the hookups are exposed and easy to use.
In the terminal I set the bag on a chair and tethered the 3750 to my laptop and phone on the table. It was great! My laptop is an older Compaq the battery maybe lasts 20 minutes on its own. I flipped the switch to automatic voltage detection, after a brief moment the 14v LED came on and the computer and phone were taken care of. It was odd at first because the 110v to DC converter that came with the Compaq says it is 18.5 volts but everything worked fine with the Tekkeon selecting 14v. I was thinking this might even be a good thing, if I were to make a manual selection I would have picked 18v or 19v ... there is no in between selection. The other thing that happened was that the Compaq recognized the battery hook up as an AC plug-in. The result was of no consequence however.
I know, blaa blaa blaa, tell everyone about how long the thing lasts already! Ok, this is not scientific but here is what I did on the weekend. I charge the two batteries fully and separated them. I plugged in the laptop to the MP3750 only and started running scans. I turned off all power management on the laptop so it would run on full bright screen with out going into any kind of saver, sleeper, or hibernation modes. There are six LED battery status indicator lights on the battery, 6 minutes after I began the scanning process one of them went out, 13 minutes after that the second LED went dark, 7 minutes after that the third, 6 minutes later the forth, 27 minutes later the last LED went out and 5 minutes after that the Compaq status screen showed the unit switching to internal power. 1hr and 15min ... at this point I felt a little disappointment to be honest.
I let the battery cool down to room temp (it did get warm in the area of the LED's but not too bad), then I placed the two batteries together in the brackets and charged them again. This time I did the same thing with the computer and the scans, making sure the hard drive was working all the time when I hooked up the MP3750 and the bracketed MP3450-10 extension battery. 11 mins,44 mins, 33 mins, 49 mins, 37 mins, 40 mins and 5 minutes after that the laptop switch to internal. 3hr and 45min. For what ever reason the sum seemed to be better than the parts.
I've got a new Dell XPS on its way to me and I can't wait to see it work with this product. These batteries saved my life with their flexibility on a plane with the spread sheet and word processing work that I had to complete in a time sensitive manner. I've never been able to do so much computer work on a cross country flight before.
I don't know about the 7hrs Tekkeon advertises for these two combo pieces, but with a newer laptop battery and the power saving features activated I am sure I wont be disappointed.
If your like me check around on the price.
I hope this review helps.

I had problems with the MP3450 on my power-hungry 15.4" laptop, but the 3750 worked fine. Costs a few bucks more, but worth it, especially if you plan to use it for different devices with different voltage requirements. I give it four stars instead of five because it lasts only an hour to an hour and a quarter with a 15" laptop, but you can boost that considerably with the 3450-10 add-on.
Every road warrior needs this
The perferct solution for those nagging fears when travelling that one of your devices is not charged. Backup up power for all small devices including your laptop. Must have laptop charger to use. Only negative is the price.
