Great dvd when you have a newborn. Helps you understand what your baby might be crying about. My baby would make the "eh" sound when she needed to be burped and the "neh" sound when she was hungry. It definitely worked but only during the first 3 months. Not sure if I agree that all evening crying is due to gas though. I think that's where the "Happiest Baby on the Block" dvd comes in handy.

A good resource for the first 2 years. Remember that you can modify some of the attachment parenting suggestions as long as you are responsive to your baby. I also used "What to Expect the First Year" but IGNORED any baby-training or sleep-training advice.
