HP Photosmart C7180
Great scanner and printer. I have not used the other functions yet. Received very quickly and easy to setup and use. Only frustration was trying to find out what maximum size memory card the unit could, since all I have are 2MG SD for my camera. HP Technical support told me the maximum size it could use was a 1MG and I was ready to send it back, but have been using my 2MG SD cards and they are working just fine. Keeping the screen is tricky with old photos leaving fragments, so a good quality lens cleaning cloth is a must if you are planning on such activity or you'll get a bunch of spots on your scanned photos.
May want to price ink cartridges as there are four and I have not done this yet.
piece of cr**!
this is the second hp all-in-one i've purchased and both have had the same problems of poor paper feed, paper jam and carriage jam errors to the point it is just absolutely unusable and a major headache. very poor quality!
Save yourself! But something else
I have an HP Photosmart C7180 which has been a miserable addition to my office since its appearance a year ago. It was a replacement of another All-In-One from HP that the sales clerk at Staples insisted had to be a lemon. I had gone to Staples vowing to never purchase a HP again, but the Staples professional convinced me the HP we had must be a fluke, and the newer version would run like a dream. HA! I'm still handwriting checks like it's 1988 because the HP can't print checks, consistently. Sometimes, I'll admit, it does print. Mostly a screen pops up that says "incorrect paper size or type." It doesn't matter what program I'm in; Quickbooks, Word, etc. Same outcome. Interestingly, the stupid piece of junk WILL print the checks if you accidently put them in upside down. Oh, and the "service and tech support" contract I bought; I've never actually gotten through. The automated system requires a contract number that I wasn't provided. Try rectifying that in your spare time for fun. I do like the photo quality for printing out vacation snap shots, but since this is an office machine, the upside of this copier is irrelevant for us here at the office.
When I did get through to HP, outside of my paid-for service contract, BTW, they insisted the malfuntion is a software i
