Customer Reviews
Looks cute, but doesn't make good coffee
I bought this stove top coffee pot after deciding I wanted to free-up counter space. It looked really cute on my stove (I bought orange), but if you fill it with 8 cups of water, it will spill onto the stove while it's percolating. I used 9 tablespoons of coffee in the basket, but it still took around 30 minutes for the coffee to reach a good strength. The coffee didn't taste very good, and there were a lot of grounds in the coffee cup. If you enjoy really weak coffee, it might work for you, but don't plan on making more than about 6 cups at a time.
Not pleased
Looks nice however the interior pieces are very flimsy & look as though they would need replacing at least once a year. Also the filter cover doesn't do a good job of keeping the grinds in the basket. I had more grind in my coffee cup that I care to drink. The only positives are you can take it camping and great for power outages. Would not recommend this product for daily use.
Cute but no cigar
Bought this for my hubby, the coffee drinker in the family. Cute, seemed sturdy and sustainable, no plastic, so I bought it.
But this thing takes 20-25 minutes to fully percolate on med-high heat(what a waste of energy!) Seems to be taking longer the older it gets(right now about 6 mos. old). Like other users we also have gotten some some grounds in the coffee.
I wish I could find another one that makes a similar amount that is as pretty as this one! I don't mind having this live on the burner.
Please improve the design, Paula! I'd probably spring for another if issues have been fixed.
