great itrem - if you can find the deluxe set5
Wonderful item for the kids. Makes telling the Christmas story fun and interactive. Had to return 'semi-similar ' items from another seller. The other item didn't include the 3 wise men - imagine that ? Come to think of it - maybe that was the Washington, DC version ?

love this set!5
I bought this for my two year old who LOVES it. She has a ball swaying to the music and putting the different people up on top of the stable. A great value, but definetly check your prices at home first. I bought mine for $39 at Wal-Mart.

My toddler loves it!5
I just purchased this for my 2 1/2-year-old, and both he and his baby brother love it! The star lights up and the stable plays "Away in a Manger" when you push a button on the top. So make sure you REALLY like that particular song, or else remove the batteries before giving it to your kids! The donkey and his cart are a big favorite with my son, and often give "rides" to baby Jesus and the other folks at the stable.

The playset does make a great tool for talking to your kids about the Nativity. For example, my toddler called the stable a "house." I explained that it was a stable where animals lived, and then explained why Jesus was born there, etc. When he talks about the star, I tell him about how there was a special star when Jesus was born, and the wise men followed it etc. Talking about religion -- even with my own kids! -- isn't something that comes very naturally to me, so this is a big help.

Incidentally, check your prices before buying online. I find this exact set for $40 at WalMart.
