Great for batter, not for custard
Nice heavy spatula, easy to maneuver, does an excellent job scraping batter, etc. out of bowls. However, I purchased this spatula for a specific purpose - to constantly stir custard during the cooking process over a low flame. If the tip were a bit more firm, the thickening custard would not have collected at the bottom of the pot during the stirring process. The soft, flexible tip just slid over the thickened custard rather than moving it along.
Nice, but a little too flexible
Pretty nice spatula, with good edges and in a fun bright color. I like that it's heat resistant as well. My only issue is that it flexes too easily--including the handle--so if you have some heavy duty scraping to do, it's a bit awkward.
Spatula / Pancake turner / Comfortable / Perfect Length
I ordered 4 Trudeau spatulas on the great "buy 3 get 1 free" that Amazon offered. The 12" length of this one is the best. When I need a turner in a skillet that, e.g., is 8" in diameter, I find this works better. It goes through folding egg whites like a dream, mixes batter or anything else when there is a larger quantity with no struggle. It is very comfortable in the hand as well.
