Not enough punch for the price
I got excited reading about this product on Sephora because it seemed to cover all the bases--salicylic acid medication, a natural astringent (witch hazel), and even something to reduce hormonal influences on the skin. So, though I was somewhat put off by the price tag, $45 an ounce didn't seem too steep to pay for something that would finally get rid of my stubborn and unsightly acne. Well, after barely a month of using it, the tube is running out (I had intended to give it six weeks, but it's not looking like it's going to last that long) I'm not sure that it's done anything at all. My blemishes are still popping up even though I'm using it twice daily as directed, they don't seem to be going away much faster (if any), and this product, I guess the way it is made chemically, interferes with almost any moisturizer or sunscreen I try to put on my face. When I try to apply moisturizer/sunscreen/primer, etc., the two products combine and make little white balls that I then have to wipe off my face -- this happened even with Dermadoctor's own "Body Guard" sunscreen. For $45 an ounce, I was expecting a product that lasted a lot longer and produced much more dramatic results. Also, the smell of the product is pretty unpleasant to me -- it has a strong medicinal smell. Fortunately, the smell goes away after about 15-20 minutes (or, at least, I can't smell it anymore). I gave this two stars instead of one because it at least didn't dry out my skin or *cause* any breakouts, which many other products have done.
I recommend this product to many friends!
This is a great product and works better on my skin during the fall and winter months for some reason. It kept my zits away for months and did an awesome amazing job. It was almost like a miracle and a little bit went a long way.
It's just okay
It's a light weight product but it didnt seem to work... i used an entire bottle and didnt see much of a difference.
