Wonderful Idea
The big advantage of this battery design is its easy installation and removal from the collar. The battery is Lithium so is naturally long lasing. I install the battery when I put the dog outside with his collar on, and remove it when he comes in and I remove the collar and battery. As a result, I am on my fourth year with the same battery and it still measures 6.02 volts and operates the collar quite well.

My original collar uses a standard 2032 lithium battery which also has a long service life, but must be installed and removed by removing and replacing two small screws and by being careful to maintain the collar's waterproof features. It was too much trouble to install and remove the battery every time I put the collar on or took if off. As a result, I was lucky to get more than five months life per battery!

They're batteries. What can I say? They are the right size and work as expected. It was convenient to get them online though.......
