Buy used from: $8.42 This event took place in 2000, when MMA was being targeted by politicians in the USA and many of the sport's top fighters were flocking to Japan. It's my favorite event from the era and features old-school legends including Kazushi Sakuraba, Ricco Rodriguez, Vitor Belfort, Mark Kerr, Ken Shamrock, Igor Vovchanchyn, and many more.

This was PRIDE's second tournament and was easily one of their best. Some of the best middleweights (206 lbs) including Chuck Liddell, Wanderlei Silva, Quinton Jackson, and Alistair Overeem participated in the tournament. Nogueira, Cro Cop, and Fedor also fight in non-tournament bouts.

Buy used from: $18.95 Round two of PRIDE's 2004 heavyweight tournament created some of MMA's most memorable moments, from Rampage's legendary slam to the infamous 'Randleplex'. This card is full of talented heavyweights, and only one fight goes to decision.

Buy used from: $3.51 This card is exciting from start to finish, and there aren't any decisions. PRIDE 28 had a little bit of everything, from brutal knockouts to comic relief (Aleksander Emelianenko vs. James Thompson). Rampage and Wanderlei Silva's second battle headlines the card, and it's one for the ages.

Buy used from: $81.68 PRIDE had an annual tradition of saving their best card for last. This one features a total of nine current or former UFC or PRIDE champions, including Anderson Silva and Fedor Emelianenko. It also has the finals of the 2004 grand prix. And if that's not enough, you get the atomic butt drop and the flying scissor heel hook.

Buy used from: $6.19 Most people probably wouldn't put this on their list, but I'm a sucker for big knockouts. Out of ten fights on the card, seven end by first round knockout.

Buy new: $22.49 / Used from: $12.13 The biggest MMA fight of all time was Cro Cop vs. Fedor. The hype had had been building for years and when it finally happened, Fedor was ranked #1 and Cro Cop was ranked #2. Many people thought Cro Cop's incredible striking would be enough to defeat the Russian. Also on the card are the finals of the stacked 2005 tournament.

 | Pride Fighting Championships - Bushido - The Tournament (Vol. 9)
Buy used from: $7.98 I've heard many MMA fans call this the greatest event ever. It featured two tournaments, fourteen fights, and fighters such as Dan Henderson, Hayato Sakurai, Joachim Hansen, and Takanori Gomi. The tournament finals took place at Shockwave 2005.

Buy new: $17.99 / Used from: $9.56 The 2006 heavyweight tournament was unforgettable. Unfortunately Fedor was out due to injury, but guys like Nogueira, Barnett, Werdum, and Cro Cop made this one of the most exciting events of the year. The whole tournament is amazing, so don't hesitate to pick up next two rounds as well.
