Great Teacher
Ippolite gets a bit complicated in this one. Some of the examples are beyond even what Beyond the Basics should cover. Still, it's a great resource.

One suggestion: make the CDs and DVDs installable to harddrive. It's a pain having to travel with CDs or DVDs.

A must for Filemaker Experts
Having gone through a lot of filemaker I have only found two titles which gave me a real added value to advanced in Filemaker Pro 9.
I was really bored to read always the same stories on filemaker and to do the same tutorials. Having worked for over years in Databases and starting to flirt with Filemaker, Beyond the Basics gave me even more pleasure to work on the Filemaker platform and to prove that many advanced things can be done easily.
For my this is a must to get from intermediary to advanced. It covers into details the more complex and advanced features of Filemaker in an understandable way. Filemaker Pro 9 " Beyond The Basic" brings me really further in my learning curve. ( without to much efforts ;-) )
