Blind Submission: A NovelBlind Submission: A Novel by Debra Ginsberg
Buy new: $23.95 / Used from: $0.01
A delicious romp through the world of publishing...with a suspenseful plot and adorable (or fierce) characters.
Rules (Newbery Honor Book)Rules (Newbery Honor Book) by Cynthia Lord
Buy new: $10.87 / Used from: $0.07
An amazing, compassionate, kind, loving middle grade novel (but great for adults, too) about a girl with an autistic brother. With autism affecting more than 1 in 100 in New Jersey (only slightly less elsewhere) it's essential reading. The writing is so honest and the author clearly loves her characters. Some of the most respectful writing about a character with a disability I've ever read.
Lost and Found: A NovelLost and Found: A Novel by Carolyn Parkhurst
Buy new: $19.16 / Used from: $0.01
Funny, compelling, and can't-put-down. A great read that shows off Carolyn Parkhurst's amazing talent. Very different from DOGS OF BABEL, but you'll love it, too.
The Myth of You and Me: A NovelThe Myth of You and Me: A Novel by Leah Stewart
Buy new: $10.40 / Used from: $0.01
A novel about friendships and how they can change and go wrong--who among us hasn't lost touch with a close friend and wondered what happened?
The Highest TideThe Highest Tide by Jim Lynch
Buy used from: $2.85
Another coming of age novel--but this one has an original character, science included in the most fascinating ways, and such a strong sense of place you can smell and feel it while you read.
