Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 / QuickCam Pro 9000Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 / QuickCam Pro 9000
Buy new: $75.99 / Used from: $68.00
I add this product not to endorse this SPECIFIC product. My kids BOTH love to play with the built-in cameras on our home computers, especially when they have software that allows for special effects like superimposing costumes and masks on them. Logitech cameras have that software, but so do other brands.
Nintendo DSi Matte - BlackNintendo DSi Matte - Black
Buy new: $169.99 / Used from: $129.99
This is a hit so far. With two built-in videocams, my son has been enjoying taking photos of himself and also recording sounds. He's also been playing some regular video games. My full review is posted.
Wii FitWii Fit
Buy new: $107.79 / Used from: $68.38
This will be a gamble, but it is worth a try. The Wii Fit is a way to get kids active and engage them in some exercise. I know some ASD children who use this device, others don't. Mine are lukewarm to it. My wife and I enjoy it, so it is a good investment regardless, if you own a Wii system. Full Review: http://www.amazon.com/review/RGNGFADQQSZA3/ref=cm_cr_rdp_perm
WowWee Tribot Talking Companion in Red/BlackWowWee Tribot Talking Companion in Red/Black
Buy new: $49.97
We'll be asking Santa for this one. I got to play with one recently. Full review is posted on the site, but the controls are easy to use and much less annoying than RoboPanda. After seeing Wall-E this year, we're into Robots.

Phonics Word MasterPhonics Word Master
Buy new: $22.99
My review is published on Amazon. But, this is a learning toy with large buttons; simple to use; sturdy; not too flashy to cause sensory overload; and my kids seem to like it and use it. Teaches simple letter and word recognition.
WordWorld WordReader and Flash CardsWordWorld WordReader and Flash Cards
Nice toy. My review is posted, but this is not too flashy or overstimulating. Simple to use and helps kids make associations between letters and words.

PlaygroundPlayground
Buy new: $19.99 / Used from: $12.49
My full review is posted on the product site on Amazon. I like this particular Wii game because it starts very simple, which is a good thing for my kids struggling with motor skills. I've been waiting for this one to be released for awhile. I think they will particularly like being rewarded with stickers!! Will let you know later how it goes with them.

Carnival GamesCarnival Games
Buy new: $22.49 / Used from: $15.50
Many of the mini-games are simple. My review is published. My kids enjoy the game, though they can't play all of them. Carnival sounds and music seem a bit overstimulating at times, but works well for single play.

One of my son's favorites. He plays this one quite a bit even though it is difficult. Excellent game for helping develop motor skills.

Fisher Price Kid Tough Digital Camera - BlueFisher Price Kid Tough Digital Camera - Blue
Buy new: $75.00
Easy to use. Kids love it. Picture quality isn't great, but that's really not the point of this toy. Newer model is better than the older model in terms of picture quality.

Fisher-Price Digital Arts & Crafts StudioFisher-Price Digital Arts & Crafts Studio
Buy new: $49.95
Full review is published. This is a good alternative to crayons and coloring books. Has various actvities for connect the dots, coloring, basic drawing, etc. You can also purchase expansion packs. Donwside for some kids will be that they have to press on the electronic stylus fairly hard to get it to draw.
WowWee Robotics RoboPandaWowWee Robotics RoboPanda
Buy new: $77.00
My review is now posted online. I don't give it high marks, though I really had high hopes for this one. Unlike other WOWEE toys, this does not have a remote control. It responds directly to child's interactions.
The Cow That Went OINKThe Cow That Went OINK by Bernard Most
Buy new: $7.00 / Used from: $3.44
Great little book about a Cow who can only say "Oink" and a pig who can only say "Moo", but they help each other learn to speak properly. Very funny and one of our favorite books. They had it at school and we decided to buy a copy for home.
Too Much Noise (Sandpiper books)Too Much Noise (Sandpiper books) by Ann McGovern

Illustrated by Sims Taback. Simple, repetitive format story. One of the early books that my kids started to interact with at bedtime.
Fisher-Price Smart CycleFisher-Price Smart Cycle
Buy new: $141.00
My full review is on the site, but I like this toy. However, it was too small for my six-year-old to use, even on the largest size. We tried it out at a local store. Too bad.
The Unofficial Guide Walt Disney World 2009 (Unofficial Guides)The Unofficial Guide Walt Disney World 2009 (Unofficial Guides) by Bob Sehlinger

Good tips in this book for families with autism who are planning a Disney Vacation.
Rayman Raving Rabbids 2Rayman Raving Rabbids 2
Buy new: $18.49 / Used from: $12.00
I don't REMOTELY recommend this for your children, but this game has improved our PARENTAL sanity. The kids can't play this, but do seem to enjoy watching their parents being silly and dancing around. For whatever reason, this game resonates with us adults. Plus, its aerobic! Be warned, the Rabbids are overstimulated by definition, but it somehow reflects the nature of our household in general!
