Product Description
Add depth to your chartplotter view with the GSD 20 series remote sounders. The Garmin GSD 21 Remote Sounder, a powerful analog sonar, along with the GSD 22, Garmin's first digital sonar, are robust units designed to operate with stand-alone chartplotters or integrate with the Garmin CANet and Marine Networks. The GSD 21 is a black-box sounder that provides fast Ultrascroll displays and 500-watt (RMS) sounder capability to 2000 series and 292/392/492 series chartplotters featuring the Garmin CANet bus. The GSD 21 will work with a serial connection to other Garmin plotters without the CANet connection, but will not offer Ultrascroll capability. The unit's all-new, high-dynamic range analog sonar receiver X24 provides exceptional performance in water as shallow as one foot on down to depths of 1,500 feet. It connects to a dual frequency transducer (50/200 kHz) for deep-water performance or a single frequency, dual beam width transducer (narrow/wide) for operation in shallow freshwater as well as deeper water. Provides 500 W transmit power with dual frequency transducer or 400 W with dual beam width transducer.

GArmin GSD 21 Remote Sounder
I have Garmin products on both my boats and all three of my trucks/car. As usual the performance with Garmin is superb. Easy installation required one call to the Garmin Tech Dept. Their Tech Dept. is by far the most caring and concerned Tech people I have ever run into. I have it on my flats boat and ventured out in the ocean on a very calm day. The product gave excellant "coverage" on reading the bottom in water up to 300 feet. Here in South Florida most of my boating/fishing is in shallow salt water. I do fish off it for Bass in Lake lanier, Ga and Deep water lakes in Texas. Performed flawlessly. The vision chart is the icing on the cake. I still can not beleive all it does for navigating and the different views of the bottom. I just refitted my Bertram with two 5208's and Garmin radar. Couldn't be happier with ease of installation and performance. Awaiting the release of their new autopilot. I won't buy any other equipment but Garmin products. I am talking with over 10 years using their products both on the water and on land.
