Much Better than a regular flop.
I bought the Electra in Black which looks dressier than your average flop and I have been complimented on the style. The FitFlop runs big so even though I wear a 6.5 M in a normal shoe, I wear a 6M in the FitFlop. The FitFlop's sturdy platform bottom gives you a bit of height and is nicely balanced so you don't wobble or slide around. I don't wear flip flops everywhere the way some people do - I've seen people wear flip flops with formal dresses, which is an embarrassing fashion mistake. But FitFlops are great for casual and weekend wear. I wear them around the house, for short walks, trips to the store, etc. They are very comfortable and the thong has rounded edges so it doesn't cut into your foot. I haven't noticed any significant loss of inches but I was already thin when I got them. I have noticed that they put less pressure on my knees. I've had them for two months and with regular use, they still look new. I recommend getting a color with a dark footbed like black or bronze. (Lighter footbeds of sandals show toe marks over time.) Definitely recommend this product.

Really Fabulous!
This is my 1st Pair of FitFlops and I have had them for about 2 weeks. They are extremely comfortable and have great arch support, I would want to wear them regardless of the fitness claims. They also do seem to work, nothing mind blowing, but different muscles are getting worked in these. My calves were burning the first week and a half, but I do walk at least 3 miles a day from work to subway, etc. and I wore the FitFlops the entire time.

The FitFlops did jack up my toes a bit, the thong part that goes between the 1st and 2nd toe is quite hard and rubbed my skin until it bled on both feet. ALL thong style Flip Flops have this effect on me so I rarely wear them. I have built up some thicker skin, though, and now all is comfy.

comfortable but not a workout
These fit flops are comfortable, and really cute, but you cannot feel a thing in terms of the muscles in your legs(and i had mine on all day and night). I would buy them for looks and comfort but if you're looking for them to work your leg muscles, I wouldn't bother.
