Amazon.com Product Description
When the weather is too cool for your fitflop sandal, try wearing this clog for the same level of style and fitness-boosting features. The upper is easy to slip on, while the is comprised of three distinct densities of EVA foam to create a destabilizing effect, so your muscles are engaged with every step. Leg, calf, and gluteal muscles will experience better toning, while your posture improves. In turn, the lower back and feet will experience less stress. Go ahead, workout while looking stylish at the same time.
From the Manufacturer
Created in the UK, over a two-year collaboration between former Bliss spa-entrepreneur Marcia Kilgore, Biomechanist Dr. David Cook and a team of untiring footwear engineers, FitFlops were initially designed to help modern women squeeze a little more exercise into their increasingly hectic schedules."I thought, how amazing if I could invent something that would help fight the onset of cellulite while I'm walking to the office," says Kilgore. "I work. I have kids. I have a husband. And the likelihood of me seeing the inside of a gym in the next ten years is slim to none. That said, I'd obviously prefer to go with slim." Kilgore found Dr. Cook at The Centre for Human Performance at London's LSBU, where he envisioned injecting the patent-pending 'microwobbleboard' technology into the midsole of the function-forward flip flop. Slightly destabilizing, FitFlops feature three distinct densities of EVA foam in a single-fused underfoot piece, to challenge your muscles more every time you step - to deliver a workout while you walk.

Same 'cush' as the sandals
I absolutely love Fitflops and have several pair of the sandals which I have worn exclusively during warmer months for the past 2 years. When weather changed from warm to cool this fall, I was not wanting to put the sandals away and wear closed shoes although it was time. I looked online and saw these felt clogs and ordered them right away. They are exactly what I wanted and needed...the same great feel and comfort of the Fitflop sandals but in a closed shoe. I ordered the same size as the sandals and the fit is fantastic even when worn with socks. The first day I got them I wore them all day long with no problem. They are just as comfortable as the sandals. I recommend Fitflops to anyone who wants the most comfortable shoes on the planet.
Beware if you have large feet
I was thrilled when the Gogh II came in size 11, since I had tried the original Gogh in a 10, and sadly, they wound up at the Goodwill. When I got these new ones, they fit, but they come up so high on your foot that they just don't want to stay on. I'm sure this is because I have such large, wide feet. I also bought a pair of the slippers, which are now also offered in an 11. They are JUST GREAT!!! They don't come up nearly as high on your feet, and fit me wonderfully. I'm returning the Gogh's and getting another pair of the slippers, which look almost like the Gogh's, except for a small fringe. The slippers from last year were really comfortable, but again, I could only get them in a 10, and they never stayed on. (Someone got really lucky at the Goodwill!!)
I L.O.V.E fitflops!!!! I have severe arthritis in one of my ankles, and at one point, could not walk without a severe and painful limp. I discovered MBT's and have been pain free ever since. And I mean ever since the first step I took!!! A miracle in my book. But MBT's have no flipflops, and no slippers. When I discovered FitFlops, they gave me the same benefits as the MBT's. I never thought to be able to go barefoot again, and the FitFlops are close. I wear the mens Dass FlipFlops, because they are wider. My MBT's sit unloved in my closet, because the FitFlops are so awesome. I only use the MBT's when I need more protection, like hiking.
Other reviewers have mentioned that FitFlops have a medical benefit, not just toning, and I second that in a big way.
my new favorite shoes
My mother has long sung the praises of the fitflop sandals to me, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend this much money on a pair of shoes with limited use/niche appeal. I started stealing her fitflops at the end of the summer, and they quickly became my favorite shoes...not quite work appropriate, though. I work as a teacher, and I'm on my feet all day. These clogs prevent the back pain I used to experience at the end of the day. I actually feel better now than I did a year ago! I've owned Birkenstocks for as long as I can remember, and have tried MBTs as well. NOTHING compares to the comfort of fitflops,--especially the Gogh clogs. I can stand for 8 hours with no foot or back pain. I've recommended these shoes to one of my co-workers who recently had her hip replaced and was looking for better support. I wish the fitflop marketing team would highlight the health benefits of these shoes aside from just "toning up." I love these shoes so much...I wish they came in more styles and colors so I could wear them all the time, I really do. (I'd say they fit true-to-size. I consider myself a 9, -9 1/2, and the 9s fit me perfectly.)
