Created in the UK, over a two-year collaboration between former Bliss spa-entrepreneur Marcia Kilgore, Biomechanist Dr. David Cook and a team of untiring footwear engineers, FitFlops were initially designed to help modern women squeeze a little more exercise into their increasingly hectic schedules."I thought, how amazing if I could invent something that would help fight the onset of cellulite while I'm walking to the office," says Kilgore. "I work. I have kids. I have a husband. And the likelihood of me seeing the inside of a gym in the next ten years is slim to none. That said, I'd obviously prefer to go with slim." the most comfortable shoe ~ AMAZING!
I own 5 pairs of Fit Flops (2 of the actual flip flops, plus a pair of Gogh II clogs and the Mukluk boots), and this "Ultra Lounge Clog" is by far the most comfortable of them all. It's the most comfortable shoe I own, period. I'm going to have to get another pair in a different color, because I bought the pink to wear as a slipper around the house, but I want something more versatile to be able to wear out and about!

Stacy and Clinton would kill me for saying this, but comfort really is key: I have plantar fasciitis in my right foot, and I literally hobble around most of the time from the pain, even when wearing so-called "good" shoes (New Balance, Merrells, Taryn Rose) with my $$$$ custom orthodics. These Fit Flop clogs are the first shoe I have found that actually reduces the pain -- significantly. For me, that's priceless.

To be honest, when I received these shoes in the mail, they weren't exactly what I expected. They're not as cute as the Ugg scuffs that they must have been designed to resemble; and unlike Ugg and Merrell versions, the footbed is not lined with fleece all the way around. However, I can overlook both of these tiny issues, given how GOOD these shoes feel and fit.

And just to address a couple of issues raised in other reviews... These shoes stay on my feet just fine -- no flap-flapping around -- and I wear them ALL the time when I'm home... And, happily, they don't stink. :) (And believe me, if they were prone to stinkage, I would know, as my feet DO sweat! Sorry -- TMI)

Sweet slipper, but a disappointment
I saw these adorable pink clogs and knew I had to have them - I have 4 pair of Fitflop flipflops and LOVE them, so thought this would be great for winter time wear. Since I love pink, I opted to get them in that rare, but lovely color. Now for the BUT...I received them today and was disappointed with how far forward this shoes hit on the top of my foot. The reason Fitflops sandals fit so well, in my mind, is because they sit far back on the bridge of the foot which means I don't have to tense up my foot trying to hold it on. Sadly, the lounge clog hits far forward so that not only does it feel like I have to grip with my toes to hold the shoe on, but in addition, that part of the foot is exposed to the air, and lets face it, fur lined slippers are used for warmth. This slipper could have been a comfort delight, had the Fitflop makers not decided to skimp on the toe portion of this shoe. I am so disppointed as the pink color is lovely, and the sole feels comfortable like all my other shoes from this company. I have to send them back because I can tell the lack of coverage on the toe is going to make my feet hurt like other, cheapo shoes that don't ride farther back on the foot. Hopefully Fitflop will learn from this mistake and revamp this idea for a lounge clog making it sit farther back on the foot. If they do that, I will be the first in line to buy them.

These are the only shoes I have that stink!
These shoes are very comfortable but I wore them to yoga a few times and they smell horrible ( and I don't have stinky feet!).

I would only buy these if you plan to wear socks every time! Even my gym shoes don't stink. Hubby thought is was funny b/c after 14 years of marriage he has always had the stinky shoes.

I do like fit flops I wear them around the house but they are not fintess shoes like MBTS- just comfy.
