The machine uses Tassimo discs (T-Discs), which contain precisely measured amounts of the ingredients for each drink and are sealed to protect the flavors inside. With barcode technology, the unit scans the barcode printed on the label to identify the drink desired. The system then expertly adjusts to the optimal brewing time, temperature, and amount of water needed. Simply insert a T-Disc, press the button, and in about a minute a coffeehouse-quality hot drink is ready to be enjoyed, one cup at a time.

Pumpkin Spiced Coffee
I enjoy my flavored coffees. This machine makes the process easy and the coffee is delicious.

I felt limited on flavors. I used this recipe as a guide with my latte drink. I put a Tbsp. of sugar, 1/4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice, 1/2 tsp of vanilla in the cup; then used the espresso cup for the machine and then the latte cup. Once that was ready, I added whipped topping with a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice. This smelled so wonderful and tasted just like pumpkin spiced coffee I order from restaurants. I found the recipe at allrecipes.com and tweaked it for my Braun Tassimo machine. :)

Easy to use, reliable
Bought this for a friend after using one myself for over a year. No problems, easy to use, and discs are more readily available now in wide range (black/green tea, coffee, espresso drinks). Remember to change the water daily. You can customize the amount of water for your favorite drinks.

Awesome single serving beverage system
I got the Tassimo system as a gift for Christmas and have been addicted to it since! I love the fact that you can easily get a variety of teas, coffees, and specialty drinks for the machine. I order through Tassimo direct, but also get them at Target and obviously, Amazon! It's awesome...

Two things that do bother me a bit - one is that you have to wait for the system to heat up before you can start dispensing a cup and I would like to be able to hit start and have it ready whenever it's done... I find myself hovering over the machine while it heats, so I can hit start. The other thing is that you really have to do a good job cleaning the disc area after any specialty drink that uses a milk or chocolate disc. Not doing a good job can even cause the barcode reader not to read a new disc.

Overall, I love the machine and would highly recommend it. It seems to have the best selection of beverages available compared to other single serve systems.
