Excellent light, Battery hard to get in.
It lights up a room very well, I used it to chase away deer from my property at night and can shine a clear beam in mild fog over a 100 feet. Deer are visible over 180 feet even in mild fog.

Beware of loading the battery cartridge the plastic components are fairly cheap for a 30 + dollar lantern.

I don't think this lantern will withstand changing batteries more than a few times before something breaks but with battery capacity at 200 hours I am sure I will be able to use this for a good 5 years or so even with a few battery changes. The swivel base is not all that functional it will not hold at less than 45 degrees.

In conclusion for the purpose I got this for it will work well.
