Amazon.com Review
Caring oozes from Jesse Ziff Cool's pen and pans in dishes such as My Mom's Nurturing Soft Cooked Eggs and Old-Fashioned Bread and Butter Pudding, and seductive flavors are evident in elegantly earthy creations such as Smoked Whitefish, Red Onion, and Caper Frittata with Caviar-Chive Sour Cream or Herb-Lemon Zest Popovers, and half a dozen mouth-watering fruit butters. Many of the recipes will work for brunch and light suppers as well as for breakfast, both in and out of bed. As she suggests, think of this food for sharing and for when you have a moment to pamper yourself.
From Library Journal
Cool, chef/owner of Flea Street Cafe in Menlo Park, California, thinks breakfast is a special meal?in fact, her previous restaurant was called Late for the Train, which served lots of breakfasts to harried commuters. Some of her recipes are as extravagantly indulgent as Blinis with Caviar and Chive Blossoms, others as soothing as Comforting Rice with Milk, Sugar, and Butter. Although some are indeed perfect for breakfast in bed, others serve four or more and are really intended for breakfast after a slumber party or for entertaining at a brunch. Nice recipes, but not an essential purchase for most collections.

Yum, yum
Great book with great ideas. Try the ricotta pancakes. I really like the "night before" preparation ideas- get the work over with the night before and have more fun in the morning!
