From AudioFile
On the day that Amy Klasse loses her job on children's TV to Red, a dancing rooster, she also meets gorgeous veterinarian Jake Elliott. It's love at first sight. But when Red disappears while being treated by Jake, Amy is the number one suspect. Hounded by news crews, Amy and Jake attempt to find the real culprit as they fall more and more in love. This cozy mystery is much more romance than crime, and a little short on plot. But C.J. Critt narrates with warmth and humor, giving to each slightly larger-than-life character a voice so redolent of back story that the listener smiles throughout. Love & Laughter5
This is one of Janet Evanovich's early pre-Plum romances, and it's an enjoyable, sexy romp. Amy Klasse, who has been playing a clown named Lulu on her own TV show for children, is suddenly fired because the new station manager thinks that a show about a dancing rooster would do better in that time slot. Jake Elliott is the local much-beloved veterinarian, who also just happens to be very handsome and sexy. He sees Amy in a grocery store, and for him, it's love at first sight. He begins a stealthy campaign to get her to the altar. Of course, romance never proceeds smoothly and the upstart rooster goes missing and Amy is accused of being his kidnapper and worse. The scenes are funny, the dialogue is witty, and the characters are realistic and lovable. This is definitely a book worth finding.

Bad Ending!2
I was loving this quirky book until close to the end. It was witty, funny and made me laugh out loud. The characters are fun and the thought of a clown losing her job to a chicken is absurdly hilarious! All was going well and I was enjoying the book (probably would have given it a 4 star rating) until the end. The last couple of chapters really didn't fit well. Spoiler Alert**** If the rooster deal was enough to drive Amy away, why did Jake not tell her what really happened in the end? A weather girl - no way! The ending felt too rushed and out of sync with the rest of the book. Wish Evanovich could go back and end this one properly. If I knew the ending was going to be so bad, I would not have read the book and I am a HUGE Evanovich fan!

Foul Play, Janet Evanovich CD5
Another great story by Janet. I really enjoyed the CD and had to listen till the very end. Maybe I'm a hopeless romantic! :)
