More of Same
Difficult to see the need for this book. Most of the photos have been seen countless times in countless other books. Those photos which George has chosen from his own collection often just show him grinning next to Elvis and in the accompanying captions George takes a bow for introducing various gals to Elvis like he was Elvis' personal pimp. George himself is not a very attractive man and his image alongside Elvis is often jarring and out of place. I expected better from George, something more humble and personal than this self-glorifying vanity project. Always great to see some new pix of Elvis though despite it all.
George's recollection of his days with Elvis
The book is cheaply done. That is, not high quality paper and binding so I don't know how long it will hold up. There are several photos that are well known to Elvis fans. There are also some that are new to me. He names the people in the pictures, which is good. In one or two cases,I think he may not be accurate in his discription of events but it's another addition to your Elvis collection.
NO REAL NEW PHOTOS
This is a beautifully presented book, with some comments by George, but with several errors in dates and name spellings. For the hardcore Elvis fan there are only about 4 or 5 pictures that are rare- the rest have all been published many times before. Most photos are from the early days with Elvis. The majority of photos are in black & white and are taken from the Graceland archives.
