About the Author
Patrick J. Cihon is an Associate Professor of Law & Public Policy at Syracuse University School of Management. His research interests are in the areas of employment law, employment discrimination, labor relations, and dispute resolution, and he has authored or co-authored a number of books and articles in those fields. He received a B.A. from Pennsylvania State University, an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School of York University in Toronto, and an LL.M. from Yale Law School. Prior to joining the Syracuse University faculty, he was with the Ontario Ministry of Labour. He has received the Outstanding Faculty Member award from the Syracuse University Association of Graduate Business Students, and from the Syracuse Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, the undergraduate honor society.

James Ottavio Castagnera is the associate provost at Rider University in Lawrenceville and Princeton (NJ), where is he responsible for labor relations and regulatory matters. He is a founding principal of the Pinnacle Employment Law Institute (www.peli-online.com), a management training company whose clients include Blockbuster Video and Circle K Convenience Stores. In addition to EMPLOYMENT AND LABOR LAW, he is the co-author of Westgroup's TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT, having previously published nine other law books and a novel. He holds the J.D. and Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University and has been a member of the Pennsylvania Bar for twenty years.
