About the Author
Hilary Knight has been illustrating children's books for over 50 years. His other careers include poster design for the theater and dance, as well as drawing for greeting cards and magazines. The latter led directly to his collaboration with Kay Thompson on the Eloise books. Knight has illustrated over 60 books including The Owl and the Pussycat and Where's Wallace?, which he also wrote.

Fun interactive read with beautiful illustrations
My almost 4 year old daughter enjoys this book at bedtime. There are lots of interesting things to look at and something different will catch her eye each time. In the back there are suggestions of things to look for in the book, but we haven't tried that yet.

I love this book!
My sisters and I had been looking for this book for years but couldn't find it. It had been our favorite book when we were children but we couldn't remember the name or author. I knew that if I ever saw the book, that I would remember it...and I did. I ordered this book for my sisters and I and let me just say that it is EXACTLY as I remember. The illustrations are just beautiful and I think this is a wonderful book for any child to have. I just had my first child and I am soooooo happy that he can now have the same book that I fell in love with as a child. I recommend this to anyone who can appreciate the beautiful and fun art.

Hilary Knight Draws Beautifully
He's best known for his illustrations of the "Eloise" Books, but these paintings are a masterful representation of his lifetime love of the circus and his craft as a master painter. I am honored to have had him ask me to write an "afterword."
