Worth Every Penny!
I really like Decorative Paint and Faux Finishes. I ordered 2 books on faux painting and immediately sent the other book back. I like Decorative Paint and Faux Finishes because it covers everything from basic ragging to complicated wood grains finishes. I am not a Faux Painting Pro by any means, but this book makes it simple enough that I would feel confident attempting most of the techniques.

I'm not surprised that this book is so well put together--I have Sunset's books Simply Slipcovers and Ideas for Home Decorating. They are wonderful, too. I definitely recommend this book to anyone considering a faux painting or decorating project. It's worth every penny!

Faux - Just do it!
This book is a pleasure to behold, with its gorgeous photos and vibrant colors. It covers the gamut of paint finishes, from colorwashing, stippling, rag rolling, and sponging, to wood graining and marbling. There is an informative section on tools you will use, as well as information on the kinds of paints and glazes that are important in this process.

If you have ever wondered if you make your walls look rich with color, here is the book for you! It even has a color wheel, to explain what goes with what. I liked this book - you will too.

I'VE PURCHASED MANY BOOKS ON FAUX FINISHING, BUT THIS SO FAR IS THE ONE I REFER TO ON A REGULAR BASIS. EXCELLENT SECTIONS ON THE PROPER USE OF TOOLS AND MANY USEFUL TECHNIQUES COVERED. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT FAUX FINISHING!
