A Great way to introduce your kids to Sherlock Holmes!
This book is a great way to introduce children to Sherlock Holmes. It's easy to understand, and the pictures are superb! Will definatly keep their interest.
Great Introduction to Sherlock Holmes for the Young Reader
My grandson is in a detective phase. He has devoured Encyclopedia Brown and is fascinated by the whole investigation thing. This easy-to-read version was perfect for a second grader to master on his own and to introduce Sherlock Holmes, the iconic detective culturally referenced in many other things, including Veggie Tales. Funny, he referenced the Veggie Tales version when he read this, not knowing that this is the foundation the others were based on. I'm most grateful for the writers who create these easy to read versions to keep kids' noses in books.
Fun but easy to solve
This book is fun for kids. I tried reading the regular Sherlock Holmes book, the Hound of the Baskervilles, but it wasn't too good for me. I've read all the Harry Potter Books twice, but the Hound of the Baskervilles was too hard. I was excited when I found this book of Sherlock Holmes written for kids, and I liked it a lot. The only thing is that it was kind of easy to solve. I figured it out pretty quickly. That's why this book is a fun, but easy to solve, mystery book for kids.
