inspired by passion, but lacks passion
inspired by the bacchae, this play supposedly deals with irrational passions in different forms. however, the end result is quite boring. comprised of disjoint vignettes, most of the vignettes lack focus and as a whole the series lacks cohesion. characters include a woman who acts as a medium, a man who falls in love with a pig, and a trite scene in which a woman murders her husband. even the use of modern theater techniques such as surrealism lacks grace and purpose.
