a very exciting book
This is the first long Star Wars book I ever read and I was quite impressed. With Anja Gallendro's growing addiction to andris spice she decides to steal Zekk's ship THE LIGHTNING ROD to go and get more spice from Kessel. Jacen, Jaina, Tenel Ka, Lowbacca and Zekk decide to go after her to stop her spice addiction and get Zekk's ship back. When they get to Kessel they learn that the administraitor has had a assasination attempt on him and Anja has left to Mon Calanmari. Leaving Jaina & Lowbacca to watch over the administrator. When the rest of the gang arrives at Mon Calamari they meet with the Jedi healer/ambassador they meet Anja and decide to destroy the evil Czethros (who smuggles andris spice) spice hideaway under the ocean. But Czethros has landed troops on Kessel for a takeover, and only Jaina & Lowbacca stand in his way! The book is exciting with lots of action. I recomend it to all Star Wars readers.
The End...
Overall, this was an exellent book, except for one problem-there wasn't enough meat in the end, especially because it gives you no clue whatsoever what is going to happen to Jacen,Jaina, and all their friends.I mean, the authors can't just leave devoted readers hanging in the balance like that.An epilouge at least would be nice, wouldn't it! Otherwise, this is a great book.
Anderson and Moesha! hip-hip-hooray!
I thought that, being a total Star Wars nut, these books were great! We got to learn in detail more about Jacen and Jaina, who we have been hearing about since they were born in The Last Command. This book was particulary good because we got to see what happened to one of Luke's old students, Cilghal. I really liked having Anja turn good. The one thing that bugged me was, where did Mara just happen to go? She and Luke were supposed to get together in VIsion of the Future, but she's not in this series! I think that it was bad planning on either Anderson and Moesha's or Zahn's part that she just disappeaered. Otherwise, i wish the series would continue! sorry my review was about the whole series and not just #14.
