Product Description

Billy and his sister, Sheena, are visiting their uncle Dr. Deep on a tiny Caribbean island. It's the perfect place to go exploring underwater...and Billy's ready for an adventure. There's only one rule to remember: Stay away from the coral reefs. Still, the reefs are so beautiful. So peaceful. Billy can't resist. But he's not alone in the water. Something's lurking deep below the surface. Something that's dark and scaly. Something that's half-human, half f-fish...

Editorial Reviews

About the Author
R.L. Stine is the creator of the monstrously successful Goosebumps series, which has sold more than 300 million copies worldwide in thirty-two languages! He lives in New York with his wife, Jane, and Minnie, his King Charles spaniel.

From AudioFile
Audio drama is the ideal medium for spooky fun. "Lights Out," "Suspense," "The Whistler," "Inner Sanctum"--these were among the most popular dramatic programs on '40's radio. The mental exercise that audio gives to the imagination has more positive effects on kids than the mind-numbing boob tube. Perhaps that's why, when Disney rereleased some of its postwar kids albums on cassette a few years ago, they were sold out within weeks of hitting the shelves. In this instance, even merely serviceable performance does wonders for Stine's hack writing. Disney has pumped more energy than creativity into the slickly produced title. It's amiable, briskly paced and safe. Neither parents nor their offspring will find any unpleasant shocks here. When you give it to your kids, tell 'em to shut their eyes and give their minds a listen. Y.R (c)AudioFile, Portland, Maine

Fun in the sun.4
Rather than making you want to stay out of the water, Deep Trouble might inspire you to dive right in and explore the briny depths of the deep blue sea.

While taking their annual summer vacation with their scientist uncle (lovingly nicknamed Dr. D) Billy Deep and his sister Sheena get caught up in a hunt for a mermaid. Things take a turn for the worse when Billy actually finds one.

Deep Trouble is more of an adventure story than a horror yarn, but there is an intense run in with a hammerhead shark that's good for a shiver or two. Recommended reading for sea monster fans.

I really liked this book!5

The mystery of the mermaid5
Book Report

Deep Trouble, a book by RL Stine to be enjoyed by people that are interesting in mystery and creatures of the sea, this book can be compared to a Saturday night with your girlfriend because it may be interesting part of the night or could be boring.

Billy and his sister, Sheena was visiting their uncle Dr. Deep on a tiny Caribbean island. Other ship arrives and they talk with his uncle. Billy was hearing all because the people that came talk very loud. They were talking about something of a mermaid; Billy was very interesting because no one have seen a mermaid. When Billy tries to capture the mermaid a shark attack him but the mermaid defend him.

As the story goes, there are three people in a ship in a little island in the Caribbean islands. One of them is trying to hide that a mermaid is in a lagoon because he do not want that there other people do not get involucrate in this dangerous expedition.

My opinion is that is a fantastic book but in some parts the story put very boring by the fact that it have a lot of dots. I recommend this book to the people that want to be in suspension.
