"Enter if you dare...."
I was addicted to these books when I was younger and it wasn't until I was majoring in education in college that I figured out why. They were interesting with bizarre plot twists that most 9-12 year olds don't think about and they were short (usually between 110-130 pages). I could read the whole thing in a day.
My parents also didn't have a lot of heartache with buying me a new book because these are relatively inexpensive (in the neighborhood of 3-5 bucks each).
R.L. Stine's "Goosebumps" books aren't scary, just kind of creepy. There aren't graphic descriptions of murder and mayhem. Just some ghosts, werewolves, or potions. The main character is alive in the end, and the final chapter resolves everything.
**Keep in mind, R.L. Stine has other books that aren't in the "Goosebumps" series that tend to be a little harsher when it comes to hauntings and plot. They are written more for the 12-14 age group and are longer (around 150-200 pages).
Book Review 1
This book is one of my favourite Goosebumps books.I think the Goosebumps Series can really give the readers an exciting advantage.
This book is about the Morris family - Lizzie, her mum and dad,her brother luke and lukes friend clay. They wanted to go on a trip to the zoo gardens but her dad forgot to bring the map. They got lost and looked everywhere, they found a place which called "Horrorland". So they decided to go there. After they arrived there and got out the car, it suddenly exploded so they went in for help and saw some people dressed in costumes called "horrors" and they said they'd fix the problem. So they went in and went on the coolest and scariest rides. But at least, they discover that this "Horrorland" had no exit.
I think this book is very good and it can scared me so much .It mixes comedy and suspense and adds several twists along the way.And this book has a excellent climax. It can help to improve my composition skill.
One Day At Horrorland
This book was very good. The author does a good job in creating suspense. The story is very erie because you know something wierd is happening.I have always been sort of afraid of rides the thought of risking your life on a ride is frightening. This book may make you rethink your next theme park trip.
