Average customer review:Product Description
This text is designed to introduce students to ethical decision-making in the criminal justice system. Its greatest strengths are its balanced coverage of 1) all three segments of the CJ system-police, courts, and corrections-and 2) both philosophical principles/theories and hands-on criminal justice issues and applications.

Editorial Reviews
Review
"The strengths in [this book] include the current issues associated with correctional professionals. The topics are on target and particularly in the areas within corrections and the communityÂ…I particularly appreciate the review of basic philosophy and where some of the values and morals were developed; however, you did not make this a philosophical class, but one of practicality."
"Pollock does a good job of making most of the topics clear. This is a great text for introductory courses in ethicsÂ…the overall structure and focus of the text is very good for this size and type."
"I selected the Pollock text because I felt that it provides excellent coverage of ethics for each of the components of the criminal justice system—the police, courts, and corrections, covers ethical perspectives very well, and raises important ethical issues in criminal justice. Pollock also does a careful job updating each new edition. The major reason for choosing this book…is its coverage of the material." --Review

Book
I used this book for my crimnal justice ethics course and I did not find it to be very useful. The only purpose this book served was for my quizes I took through the course, otherwise the rest of the material was from my professor. Even my professor didn't care for this book very much either.
Great sale, great product
Book was in great shape, as described online. Good price for a good quality book, will look to this user again for future purchases.
I give service a C+
I bought the book and the seller was not done using it for his class. He sent it later than expected and was received later. Book arrived in good condition and communication was good. Seller should just make sure to be ready to ship when purchase is made. Other than that, no problems.
