Another killer ending
Do you know that feeling where your heart is pounding, you pulse is racing, your stomach twisting in knots, and your adrenaline pumping? All of the six jedi apprentice books have done that to me, and this one is no exception. As an eighteen year old college student, I am well out of the age range, but I not only love these books, I have also gotten my twenty year old roomate hooked on them. My one major problem is the relationship between Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan forgave Guerra for betraying him on Bandomeer and almost getting him killed. He also forgave Jono and Nield. I think its time for Qui-Gon to learn another lesson from his padawan, especially since its partly his fault Obi-Wan left. This book adds a depth to both characters that didnt really exist before. Obi-Wan realizes that he is not complete without Qui-Gon, and Qui-Gon begins to realize how much Obi-Wan means to him. They are meant for each other, but they make it so hard for themselves. It also allows us a deeper look into the temple, and the problems there. Its a wonderful book, with great characters who grab your heart and wont let go.

yet another _good_ to be continued...
if you are familliar with the series, this book will only reinforce your love of Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon. I found myself on pins and needles towrds the end, Obi-Wan really grows up in this book and realizes who/what he is - a JEDI! The best part is we get to see Qui-Gon interacting with other jedi, which _really_ helps to flesh him out even more. The only problem i had with this book is that it was too short (as were the other 5)...if only they would make this an adult series! but its still one of the best series out there for the old school jedi faction of star wars fans... :) read it!

Wow!
This book was awesome. The whole series is great and I can't wait for the next installment. I read this on the way home from school and I realized that this is one book that can really touch you. The realationships between the characters are so complex that you can almost think of the next move they will make. In my opinion Tahl is really cool, Cerasi almost had me in tears, Roenni showed real friendship, Qui-Gon realized that Obi-Wan is just a kid and that you can't give up on kids, Neild learned that you can't trust everybody and Obi-Wan realized what he was... This book has only one fault... it's too short. (And please don't let the age range keep you from buying this book- I'm over the "limit" and I love these books.)
