Remnants fan
Fantastic book, a must buy for all remnants fans out there.
I mean, come on! Its only the 8th book and already were gripped to the series. I dont know about you but i am checking amazon everyday to see when the next book is being published. Anyway this is supposed to be review. So thats what im going to do, review the book.In the last book the Blue meanies and the squids and the riders were at all out war until Billy stopped them by gaining control over Mother. Now the remnantshave their own small part of the ship to call their "home," although its more like a home away from home. Anyway, Jobs has found a planet that looks like the remains of the old Earth. Now jobs must convince the others to get billy to steer the ship towards it. Billy has only one favour to ask, that Jobs go to a part of the ship that Billy can't see through Mother. The remnants also gain a new member to thier diminished numbers. This new member may be hiding something. Who nows. You'll just have to read the book to find out more.
Far from K.A.'s best work
500 years after they left Earth, the remaining Remnants(numbers still dwindling), have finally seemed to settle down after the "Big Compromise". However, everyone knows it is no "real" life, for everything is computer-generated by Billy. So, when Jobs finds a mysterious object that looks very much like the remnants of what "Earth" used to be, will the Remnants be able to convince Billy to break the Big Compromise and turn the ship around? And what about all the other troubles brewing that everyone still doesn't know about? Such as Yago, and his secret plottings with the Blue Meanies? What about Amelia, a new Remnant they discover, whose mutation is beyond weird...and the questions she raises about what Billy truly is? What about the other missing remnants that Amelia hints at?
To me Remnants has been a disappointment(except book #2) to me. We keep hearing the same old stories. I'm tired of the battles between the Remnants, Blue Meanies, Rider, etc...How many useless pages do we waste on that? The bickering between 2Face and Yago has just gotten old. Even Jobs and Mo'Steel seemed to have lost their magic. I just hope K.A. gets the series back on track soon, or it'll be another series of disappointing reviews.
