Customer Reviews

Good book - bad editing4
As a new owner of a condo, the book was very helpful in educating me on some of the finer points of Condo Association management and issues. I plan to recommend it to our Board members.

It's a shame that it is one of the worst edited books of any type that I have read. There are numerous instances of incomplete sentences, bad punctuation, not understanding the difference between "there" and "their", etc. I'm not a grammar guru, but when a book is so poorly edited that it interferes with reading, there is a problem.

Reggie says, "communicate communicate"5
Can you communicate? Can you get your ideas across? Besides being a successful motel manager, I'm also a full-time homeowner and Condo board Member. My condominium complex is an adult lifestyles community. As a member of the board its my job to keep on top of things like "bikini night" and keeping the clubhouse well-stocked. This book is great because it explains in-depth how to combine a white board, colored markers and a couple of "ruffies" into a successful late-night board meeting full of hard decision making. Although it lacks information in the department of hot-tub regulations and etiquette its still a good read.

Effective?1
Is there any such thing as an "effective" condo board member to begin with? And in whose opinion? "Effective" is subjective.
