Grade 6-8?Becoming a teenager always brings changes, but for certain adopted kids in the small town of Metier, their 13th birthdays reveal terrifying secrets. In Blood, Ashley Rose survives a near-drowning on her birthday and emerges with supersonic hearing and sight and the ability to remain underwater for long periods?an advantage in her swim-team competition. In Terror, Ethan has always been more interested in science-fiction comics and role-playing games than sports, much to his father's disappointment. Hoping to toughen him up, the boy's parents enroll him in karate school, where he suddenly exhibits superhuman strength and unearthly fighting skills. The interrelated plots follow a closely paralleled formula. Ethan and Ashley Rose are both pursued by a faceless alien killer. They use their newfound powers to confront and humiliate school rivals and they learn that their weird abilities are somehow connected to their biological parents. Many unanswered questions are left to be resolved in future books. While these titles make no pretense of being quality science fiction, they do offer an alternative to the more lurid series and could fill a need where there is high demand for series science fiction.?Elaine E. The book was faboulas it was the best
The mindwarp book had a lot of cliff hangers and made me read non stop. Jack was my favorite charecter he was funny and serios at times.I read the first two books and they were good and i plan on reding the rest.
Cool Plot!
I thought this was a really good book. It is the second in the Mindwarp series, and there are ten in all. This book is about a girl named Ashley Rose. She is just your average seventh grader, whose fellow students consider a little weird. Then on her thirteenth birthday she falls through the ice on the reservoir - and survives. She discovers that she has gained the amazing superpowers, like being able to hold her breath for a really long time, becoming a champion swimmer, having amazing hearing and eyesight. But she thinks that someone is trying to kill her. Will she be able to survive? Surprise ending.
Ashley Rose was just a normal kid, until she turned 13. . .
When Ashley turned 13, she fell through the ice, and her life was never the same again. She discovered she had silver blood, along with some pretty amazing powers, which I don't want to spoil for you. I think this is the best Mindwarp book, and Ashley is my favorite character.
