The famously big-footed dancer who made her picture-book debut in Belinda the Ballerina (2002) is prepared to take Paris by storm--except for one catastrophic detail: the airline has mistakenly shipped her pointe shoes to Pago Pago. Belinda pounds the pavement searching for a replacement pair of boat-sized ballet slippers, but as a salesman at the finest specialty store diplomatically informs her, "there is not a shoe in all of Paris that will fit such magnificent feet." Even the cobbler is stymied; there's not a length of pink silk or a form large enough for the job. Persistence pays, though, and Belinda's fans will enjoy her triumph. Besides illustrating Belinda's lively tale, the lightly stylized paintings introduce children to the sights, the streets, and the ambiance of Paris. Love the ballet books!
Santa delivered this to my two year old daughter for christmas. She loves ballet and loves this book! We have Belinda and the Glass Slipper and find this one equally adorable. The illustrations include many landmarks/monuments in Paris which is an added bonus. The book also shows the value of teamwork and cooperation which is a great skill for the little ones to learn.

Fun for kids, entertaining for parents too!
Our three year old little girl loved this story so much, it was all she wanted for Christmas. The story is simple and very charming. Belinda the Ballerina arrives in Paris without her ballet shoes and her feet are so enormous she needs to travel all around Paris, and enlist the help of several local characters to have new shoes made. The illustrations depict some of the most famous sites around Paris and the story is humourous and entertaining. A family favourite!

Great For Girls, Beautiful Color Scheme, Cute Story
If you or your young niece or daughter like ballet, or LOVE Paris, France, this is a great read. Lovely illustrations of scenic Paris (monuments, locations, locations, locations). If your kid enjoyed "Pinkalicious" or "Disney's Marie" she will like this book... especially if your kid is one who cares about soft colors and pinks. I have purchased a few copies to give as gifts and the book has been well received.
