Wibbly Pig is a very cute, very pink, very young pig waiting to bring toddlers along on his adventures. Wibbly Pig builds towers and tents, opens presents, chooses his favorite foods and toys, and eats ice cream on the beach.
With simple text and appealing illustrations, Mick Inkpen creates books perfectly targeted for very young children who are too young to read on their own. The large format makes the illustrations easy to focus on, while the thick board pages are sturdy enough to last through read after read.

From School Library Journal
PreSchool-These board books introduce an endearing little creature with big ears who shares the likes and dislikes of toddlers. Tent describes some of the things the young animal can do, including play with bubbles and make a cushion mountain and a tent. The second book covers the range of emotions the pig feels during one day at the beach. Bananas invites children to interact by asking which foods and toys they think the animal will select as his favorites. The last book opens with a picture of a stack of distinctively shaped, wrapped gifts. One by one, Wibbly Pig unwraps them to reveal what's inside. Simple, colorful drawings outlined in crayon illustrate these titles. An entertaining series that's sure to hold the attention of the toddler set.

Customer Reviews
Wibbly Pig is Wonderful!
This book tells a very simple story about Wibbly Pig. Wibbly pig happily builds a sand castle then eats an ice cream. He is surprised by a wave and loses his ice cream. This leads Wibbly to be upset, but he is soon cheered up by a dog and is happy once more! The text is very basic (i.e. "Wibbly Pig is busy"). However, this book promotes conversation between parent and child because the parent can discuss what is happening in the picture. The illustrations are sweet and Wibbly is adorable! This board book is larger than most which make it easy for little hands to explore. I think this book is probably best for infants up to 3 years. This book is fun to read and my baby loves it!
Wibbly Piggly
This was the first book to really catch my active toddler's attention. I don't know if it was the cute, colorful drawings of Wibbly Pig or the inclusion of a dog in the story or Wibbly playing in the sand. My son will sit still on my lap long enough to let me read it, the only draw back- pronouncing "Wibbly Pig". The other Wibbly books are just as cute.
My children loved this
It is simple. It is cute. And still manages to show a range of feelings kids can relate to: happy, hungry, sad, needs a hug. A great first book.
