Customer Reviews

A good first exposure to flap books4
This is a small book that has Sesame Street characters hiding behind flaps. The flaps are all different shapes, not just the standard rectangles. My daughter got this at about 14 months and still really likes it at 18 months. She says "knock knock" and the other sounds that the characters use: "tap tap" "crank crank" etc. Favorite page: when Elmo pops out of a birthday cake and says "surprise!" All major Sesame characters appear in the book. It's inexpensive and so far has remained durable.

Fun for kids but falls apart easily3
My daughter has loved this book for almost a year. I gave it to her on her first birthday. After just a few weeks, it split in half. She still reads the first half, but the second half was too damaged to keep. She has many, many books that she reads a lot, and this was the first to fall apart. So, I would maybe get one Chunky Flap book and see how it goes before you buy others.

got it for my 10 mo old son still loves it at 15 mos5
I'm buying my 2nd copy today. (its falling apart from constant use) The familiar characters made it e an instant favorite and its convenient (very small) to take along in the diaper bag, car or purse. he learned how to open the flaps and loves seeing his favorite characters revealed. like another reviewer mentioned the elmo out of the cake is a pleaser, and he learned right away to blow at the candles. it was fabulous on a plane ride at 11 months and a 2 yr old sitting near us loved sharing it too! She read it 3-4 times as well, while my son was entertained for nearly 20 minutes :-)
