Ted Rand was the acclaimed illustrator of more than 70 picture books, including, for Clarion, The Memory String and Secret Place by Eve Bunting and Ice Palace by Deborah Blumenthal. He died in 2005 at his home in Mercer Island, Washington.

Advent calendar
I bought this Advent calendar and it was just as beautiful when I received it. By far the best selection online and I checked many web sites. My family throughly enjoyed this calendar.It matches the wonderful advent calendars I had as a child growing up.

very pretty nice to have at xmas
i liked this product alot and opening the windows each day till xmas was fun. builds the suspence as each day brings you a little closer. if you have never had a advent calendar i would sudjest you buy one its fun

Pretty, but don't send one overseas.!!!
I ordered this Advent Calendar, that while pretty and sparkley, has no Christmas-related messages behind the little doors - just pictures.
That would have been acceptable, even with the steep overseas charges, had delivery been reasonably speedy.

What made me cross, was that while I ordered it November 10th, My son in Korea did not receive it until Dec. 22nd.

Had I known delivery would be that slow, I would have bought one here and taken it with me when I went to visit. The idea was for him to be able to open a little door each day in anticipation of my arrival.
Therefore, I'd say that since it ended up costing about $26.00, this is unacceptably slow service.

Yes. I read what I assumed was their posted approximate delivery date: Dec. 9. WRONG That's when they decided to send it.
