Complete Garbage
If I could rate this zero or negative I would. They should have called this book the "Harry Potter Recorder Method to Frustrate Your Child". First, of all the book is 24 pages long. What they don't tell you is that the first 8 pages are recorder instruction i.e this is how you hold the instrument, here are your basic notes, here is a bit of music theory (rests, note duration, etc). Second, the first songs (as well as the others) goes right into 8th notes and 16th notes or combinations of both. If I was a kid trying to play this stuff I would be completely lost. Lastly, after they went ahead and wasted the first 8 pages on the theory and what not, they go ahead and mark the notes with their appropriate letters. I only noticed after buying this book that that symbol in the upper left corner says "easy recorder". Never-the-less they should not have included the instruction. There are a plethora of other books for that. Bottom line: save your money.
