A Sweet Day Brightener5
My best friend and I buy this for each other every year, we kind of race to this and then tell the other "don't buy the M.E. calendar this year, I already did!" Last year we didn't and I missed it.

Understand we're not the hokey sentimentals (I don't think) but it's just nice to have a nicely detailed print with a quotation.

Cute little day-to-day tear-off calendar. Typically colorful Engelbreit illustrations, and charming quotes, like "If people did not sometimes do silly things, nothing intelligent would ever get done" (Ludwig Wittgenstein). Just the bright, light-hearted kind of thing to sit on your kitchen counter to amuse you during that first cup of coffee, and help orient you to what day it is. Later on, you can use the torn-off pages to cover your ice tea when the ladybugs swarm.
