Wonderful as a journal!5
I have been using the 2009 edition of this calendar as a journal...it is just perfect for recording the flavor of the day I had, without a huge blank page staring at me. The quotes and illustrations are inspiring and inspirational. I bought several as New Year gifts to friends for 2010!

Quality has declined3
I have bought this sort of calendar from Andrews McMeel for several years now, but the quality for the 2010 calendar is noticeably inferior to that from past years. The font is coarser, there aren't as many lines per day, which creates a clunkier feel for me, the corners of the front and back covers aren't rounded as they were in the past. The images, e.g. for the end pages, are not as detailed. The whole thing has a much more slipshod quality than this book has had before. That said, for my purposes, it's still better than most any other desk calendar I've seen--a generous size, with heavier paper than most, and a non-business-like feel that I appreciate. I hope this publisher will return to producing top-notch quality desk calendars for this series in the future.

LOVE this calendar5
I am a social worker so I schedule many appointments and meetings into each day. This calendar does not have time slots, as other agendas may. I prefer this quality because I enjoy adding to the aesthetic of the calendar by being able to create a schedule and take notes in the lines provided for each day. I think of it as adding to a work of art. I have even gone so far as to add scrapbooking paper to reinforce the bindings and add blank pages in for extra space I might need. Great calendar for the art and antique look lover and anyone who likes to scrapbook! This is the fourth year I have ordered this desk calendar for my yearly planner.
